Krista Gibbs

I grew up in a small town in Ontario...no mountains to be heard of!  I fell in love with the mountains in Queenstown NZ and spent every moment I could on a snowboard. On my return to Canada I immediately booked a trip to Banff and Whistler, my first time in the Canadian Rockies, and I knew I would eventually make the mountains my home. I’ve been living in Calgary for 11 years now and spend every weekend, no matter what season, exploring our beautiful mountains.

A few of my favourite hobbies include: Snowboarding/Splitboarding, hiking, scuba diving, camping, cooking and traveling.

I’m very passionate about animal rights and the ethical treatment of animals. It is what’s most important to me. I spend much of my free time volunteering at Calgary Humane Society.  I have 3 rescue dogs, all over 100lbs. (It’s a lot!) Most of my mountain adventures are with my 2 year old Cane Corso, Turtle. My other 2 dogs are Dante (14 years) and Benny (11 years) so they can’t keep up on big adventures anymore.
Oh..... and I’m a huge Flames fan!
